SAFE AND WELL

In a large disaster, your loved ones will want to know that you are okay.  When communications are down, you can use the Red Cross' Safe and Well website to let them know, and they can use it to search for you.

DISASTER SERVICES

From preparedness education to assisting businesses with disaster action plans, the Mt. Baker Chapter of the American Red Cross focuses on helping people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

Use the following links to learn more about specific Disaster Services Programs:

When disaster strikes, numerous highly skilled Disaster Action Team (D.A.T.) members are on call 24/7 to respond to emergencies, such as single-family fires. DAT responders assist individuals and families who are forced from their homes by providing services such as food, medical and emotional support, shelter, and referrals to additional resources.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES:

The Mt. Baker Chapter's Disaster Services Office provides extensive free training courses for volunteers.

Click here for the training calendar where you can view and register for Disaster & Emergency Services classes by the month.

Baker Chapter Headquarters in Bellingham, as well as joint meetings, usually held in the town of Alger. The meetings are designed to update volunteers on current events and happenings within Disaster Services and to provide feedback and technical assistance where needed.
